important meeting

While we know PLC meetings sometimes tend to turn into talk of the week meetings, this weeks is a very important one. As of right now we have a lot of open spaces for campout and activity ideas. So if you're a scout, call your patrol leader with ideas. If you're a patrol leader, give some time and thought to where you think we can go, and bring those ideas to the meeting!

Also remember to bring a donation for local animal shelters this week in honor and memory of Andrew Cavanaugh's grandfather, (Mr. Cavanaugh's father), who passed away recently.
See you Thursday!

In memory of Jack Cavanaugh...

Dear Fellow Scouts,

I would like to let the families of Pack 20, Troop 20 and Crew 20 who know Mr. David Cavanaugh and his son Andrew Cavanaugh, know that Mr. Cavanaugh's father and Andrew's grandfather, John (Jack) D. Cavanaugh, passed away this past week.

There will be a wake tomorrow, Sunday February 27th, at Ashley's funeral home (35 Oak Street in Middleboro) from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. The leaders of Troop 20 will be at the wake at 6 PM to pay their respects to Mr. Cavanaugh and Andrew. Those of you who would feel comfortable and would also like to pay your respects to Mr. Cavanaugh and Andrew along with the rest of us, please feel free to show up at that time. If coming, it is suggested that you consider showing up in your full scout uniform.

For anyone who would like to make a donation in memory of Jack Cavanaugh, the family requested they be made to the Middleboro and Lakeville area animal shelters. The troop will help coordinate this by collecting any donations (pet food, other supplies a shelter could use or money) you would personally like to make at our next meeting on March 3rd and will get them to the shelters in Jack's name.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Mr. Cunningham
Troop 20 Committee Chair &
Sacred Heart Church Chartered Organization Representative

Library service time

We have been asked if there is a group of scouts who can spend a few hours taking covers off of old books so they can be disposed of. There is no certain time frame, so gather a few scouts and a couple of leaders and pick a time and we can contact the library.

Cabin campout coming!

Join us at Camp Norse this weekend from Friday night to Sunday morning for a weekend of food, fun and friends! Drop off kids at 5:30 at Camp Norse (already fed please) with sleeping bag, mess kit, utensils, mug, handbook, and warm change of clothes, preferably 2.
Pick up Sunday morning at 9:30? (Check on that when you drop them off)
We will inside at night, but outside during the day, so watch the weather and dress appropriately. If there's still snow, we'll do some sledding, so bring a sled if you wish!
