Troop 20 is trying to help a Middleboro Veteran. We need your help.

Hello Troop 20!

The Troop has received a request, through Sacred Heart Church, to ask if we could help an elderly veteran in town who is presently undergoing chemotherapy and is too weak to do the work needed to take care of his home, that he would normally do, on Anderson Ave in Middleboro.  We need some of our Scouts and adults to help us trim some bushes along one side of his yard and remove some brush (bushes and small trees) growing up around a garage/workshop next to his house.  All of the yard waste can be disposed of on his property.  We estimate that this should take approximately 2-4 hours for a small group of Scouts and Leaders.

We are currently targeting the afternoon of Sunday, August 4th, starting at 1PM.  Volunteers would be asked to please bring work gloves, bug spray, and a water bottle.  Please consider coming to help for any amount of time that you can share with us, to help out one of our Middleboro veterans.  Please respond to Mr. Pierce by Wednesday, July 31st.

Please know that this effort will be greatly appreciated by this person and it's another way for all of us to say Thank You to him for his service to our country.

Jacob Rebell Eagle Project - Saturday, 8/3 - 8:00AM

Hello Troop 20!

Jacob Rebell will be continuing work on his Eagle Project next Saturday, August 3rd and he's looking for volunteers to help him finish his project.

As a reminder, Jacob is refurbishing a storage shed for the Middleborough Park Department.  The shed is located at Battis Field in Middleborough.  Work will begin at 8:00AM and Jacob is asking for volunteers to please come out to help him with his project.  He has a deadline to try and get this done by the first weekend in August, before football season starts.

He asks that Scouts and volunteers please bring gloves and safety glasses.  You should also plan to wear clothes that you do not mind getting paint on as he will very likely be painting on Saturday.

Let's have a great turnout to help Jacob get this done!
