Also, a big thank you to Mr. McKeon for taking all the ski trip photos and for sharing them with us!

Snow Sports weekend report
Dear Troop 20 families
I haven't been able to attend a lot of T-20 events and meetings in a while, but I was fortunate enough to join the gang this past weekend for the snow sports weekend. I couldn't ski because of my ACL injury up there a few years ago, but I know how much fun it is and love taking pictures, so I went along for the ride.I just wanted to take a few minutes of your time to say what a great group of Scouts and Scout leaders and even siblings we had there...
First, to the leaders who did all the food shopping, the ones who drove the many hours up and back, cooked, and just took time to be there for these kids. you deserve a big thanks. Especially the ones who don't have kids in the troop anymore (the Old Goat Patrol as we call ourselves). Without all these fine folks, your kids wold not have been able to enjoy a great weekend, well feed, warm and safely watched over
.
Then there's the Scouts. I have been with the troop for a long time, (not as long as some) but i am always amazed at how great these kids can be. Of course they have their moments, especially with so many siblings this weekend (at least 7 sets) But they cleaned, helped each other, and made us proud to say yup, those are our Scouts!
To the siblings who came along, I hope you all enjoyed yourself. You didn't have to, but you helped just as well and joined in the group experience, making it a nice family weekend for many.
If you get the opportunity to join us, you'll learn things about your kids and yourself you didn't know (good and sometimes bad) but you'll learn something and have fun and maybe make the difference in one Scouts experience in our Troop. It is a reward in itself just in the doing.
And yes we had one arm/wrist injury, we hope it's not too serious and hope you recover quickly Josh (been there, done that ride down the hill on a first aid sled). But even he stayed in good spirits when he found he could not do any more boarding the rest of the weekend. A real trooper, as they say.
PS, we have a green sleeping pad and a short mini to regular USB cord we found if you are missing them.
Of course I took several hundred photos, and some from my phone (not the best camera) were posted on my facebook page (Mike Mckeon). I will get them all to Kathy as soon as I'm done editing etc, but here's a couple of the group shots.
I look forward to my next outing with the troop, and hope to see some more of you there too!
Sincerely
Mr. McKeon
