There will be a Troop Meeting this Thursday, January 23rd, at 7:00pm at Sacred Heart Parish Hall.

Please remember that we line up for our opening ceremony at 7:00PM so you need to plan to be at the hall about 10 minutes earlier.  Please arrive wearing your Class A uniform.

2/2	Scout Sunday.  11:00am mass at Sacred Heart Church.  Please attend in full Class A.  Scouts may also attend their own church in uniform for those not a member of Sacred Heart parish.
2/6	Red & Green banquet at Troop 96 hall

Red & Green Banquet:

At this week's Troop meeting, we would like Scouts to be prepared to sign-up for the Red & Green and to let us know what they plan to bring for the pot luck dinner.  This will help us be sure that we have enough variety of food.

 

This year, our Red & Green will be at Troop 96's church hall. 

 

 

Citizenship Merit Badges:

 

Mr. McKinnon will be back at our Troop meeting on Thursday, February 13.  If you are working on any of these merit badges, please be prepared to show him progress.

Crotched Mountain Ski Trip:

Final notice - final payment must be paid this Thursday night and equipment rental/liability release forms turned.

 

At this time, there is one full vehicle leaving from the Sacred Heart Parish Hall at 3:00PM on Friday.  These folks will be checking in and taking care of all the paperwork. Everyone else will need to look for Mr. Cunningham upon arrival to get their ski tickets and/or rental equipment.

As a reminder, the program includes Saturday morning breakfast and the Troop will be providing lunch (sandwiches, chips, cookies, fruit & drinks). Everyone is on their own for Friday and Saturday night dinner and any snacks during the day.

As a rough estimate, we should be arriving back in Middleboro on Saturday night between 8 and 9 PM. Scouts can text as they get closer to Middleboro.

We'll be sleeping on the lodge floor so everyone should bring an air mattress or pad and a sleeping bag.

 

The current weather forecast is calling for partly cloudy skies with a low of 22F Friday night and cloudy skies with a low of 27F and a high of 30F during the day Saturday.

1/18	Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Jared Pierce. 2:00PM at Middleborough Town Hall Ballroom.  We are asking Scouts to please arrive around 1:15-1:30 to help with any last minute needs.
1/24-1/25	Ski Trip – Crotched Mountain.  Your final payment is due at this week’s Troop Meeting.

Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Jared Pierce:

We will be holding an Eagle Scout Court of Honor this Saturday, January 18th, at the Middleborough Town Hall Ballroom to recognize Jared Pierce's attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout.  The ceremony will begin at approximately 2:00.  Please plan to arrive earlier to help with any last minute setup and to make sure Scouts are lined up and ready to begin.

Light refreshments will be served after so we hope you can stay after the ceremony for a little while.

Crotched Mountain Ski Trip:  Please review the attached flyer at this link.  This contains information about the overnight program with costs.  Prices include a lesson on Friday evening at 7:00PM for anyone who wishes or would like a refresher.  Mr. Cunningham has offered to run the snow sports merit badge for anyone who wants to try earning it that weekend.

For anyone who has signed up to attend, we will need all rental and liability release forms as well as your final payment at this Thursday's Troop Meeting.  Forms can be found at the link below.  

Please remember that your deposit can only be refunded if someone else who wanted to go, but missed the deadline, still wants to go.

Jared Pierce Eagle Scout Court of Honor - Saturday 1/18/2020, 2:00pm

All Scouts of Troop's 20 & 96, and their families, are invited to an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Jared Pierce on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Middleborough Town Hall Ballroom - 2:00pm.

We are asking all Scouts to please arrive at 1:30 to help with any last minute setup and preparations.

Annual Dues:

Our annual dues are $100 per Scout this year.  These are due now.  Checks should be made out to 'Troop 20'.  If you have any questions, please see one of the Scoutmasters or Mrs. Swindle at the Troop meeting.

For anyone who plans to attend, we will need a non-refundable $50 deposit by our last Troop meeting this month (12/20/19), at which time we will not take any additional reservations.  The deposit can only be refunded if someone else who wanted to go, but missed the deadline, still wants to go.  Any Scouts planning to attend will also need to complete these two documents:
