Just a reminder that we will be having our regular Troop Meeting this Monday, March 22nd, 6:00-7:30pm at Reedy's Archery in the downstairs range.  

Please remember that we line up for our opening ceremony at 6:00pm so plan to be at Reedy's 10 minutes earlier.  Please arrive wearing your Class A uniform.

Scrap Metal Collection - Saturday, March 27th

 Hello Troop 20!

As we mentioned at this week's Troop Meeting, we will be collecting another load of scrap metal this Saturday, 3/27 from approximately 8:00AM to 12:00PM.  We would really like to see a good showing of Scouts as there is a lot of work to do.  Even if you can only provide a coupe of hours, it helps.  If you can be there, we are asking that you please email Mr. Holt (rholtelectric@yahoo.com) to confirm.  Please remember to cc: another adult when you email him.

Time:  8:00AM - 12:00PM

Please remember to bring a mask and we suggest you also bring work gloves and water.

Troop 20 Fleece Jackets:

REMINDER:  If any Scouts are interested in purchasing one of our Troop 20 green fleece jackets, we will be putting in an order in the near future.  The jackets are $24 each for sizes Small through XL and $28 each for sizes 2XL and 3XL.

The cost includes the jacket with the embroidered Troop 20 logo and your name embroidered on the sleeve.  If you would like one, order forms will be available at the Troop meeting along with an example to see.  The photo above doesn't show the color accurately.

Troop 20 Court of Honor - Sunday, March 21st at Camp Norse. Arrive at 12:00pm

 Hello Troop 20!

This Sunday, March 21st, Troop 20 will be holding a Court of Honor to recognize our Scouts that have achieved rank advancement or have earned merit badges.  We realize this is short notice but we were just able to secure the venue for this to be able to take place.

The plan is for Scouts and their families to arrive at Camp Norse for 12:00pm.  The Court of Honor will start at 12:30-12:45.  We anticipate this taking about 1 to 1-1/2 hours.

Scouts should arrive wearing their full class A uniforms.

We hope to see all of our Scouts on Sunday to recognize their achievements, especially with this past year being such a challenge.

This weekend's hike:

A few of us got together this Sunday and had a great 5 mile hike at the Morgan Property.  We were even joined by two of Troop 20's Eagle Scouts, Thomas Devine and Mark Swindle Jr. who led the hike for us.  We love seeing our older Scouts come back and participate in our events so don't be strangers!

As the weather continues to get nicer, we want to start having these hikes more often so look for more announcements in the near future.

Hike this Sunday, March 14th - 10:30am at the Morgan Property

 Hello Troop 20!

We are planning a hike this Sunday, March 14th at the Stuart Morgan Property in Middleborough, weather permitting.  We're planning to meet at the Morgan Property parking area at 10:30am and we'll be stepping off at 10:45am.

• Scouts will need comfortable walking/hiking shoes (sneakers are not recommended)
• Warm socks
• A warm hat and gloves
• Have a day pack with water and snacks
• Have your scout ten essentials (https://scoutingmagazine.org/2013/02/the-10-essentials/)
• We recommend plenty of bug spray as ticks are still active
• It's probably going to be chilly so dress in layers

This will be a great time for our Scouts to get back outside in nature and have fun.

For anyone who has never been here before, the Morgan Property is located on Long Point Road, off of Marion Road.

 There are parking areas located on both sides of the road, about 1/4 mile from the intersection of Long Point Road and Marion Road.

We hope to see all of our Scouts on the 14th to get back outside!
