Summer Camp!

As was announced at past Troop meetings that Summer Camp is approching soon.

If you wish to attend Summer Camp at Squanto this year payment is due by the May 5th Troop Meeting
Squanto's Early payment discount is $370.  After the 5th the price increases to $390.
If you do not have the full payment by Thursday but still want to go to summer camp, let Mr B know so that we can work with your parents to get you to camp.

Approved BSA Medical Forms are also required.  A due date will be within the next month.  Please work with your parents on getting a up to date Medical Form with Doctors signature.

Help requested

John Boersdamm's Sister and Mr B's Daughter Beth, is working to complete her Girl Scout Gold Award which is the equivalent of the Boy Scout Eagle Rank.  Beth is also one of the Vice Presidents of Crew 20.  She is asking for some assistance with her Gold Award project.

Her project is to paint Middleboro school nurses offices with cheerful artwork to help when students need to visit the nurse.

This week's schedule (4/19 - 4/22) is:

Tues 8 - 2:30 at the MECC for Manual Labor

Wed 8 - 2:30 at the MECC for Artistic Work

Thurs 8 - 2:30 at the NMS for Manual Labor

Fri 8 - 2:30 at the NMS for Artistic Work

Manual Labor will be moving of furniture, cleaning and priming of walls, etc

Artistic Work will be painting of the murals for those of you who have artistic talents

The remaining Middleboro schools will be scheduled for some time in June

Bike Trip - Saturday, April 16th

There will be a bike trip tomorrow, Saturday, April 16th at 9:00 AM.  Please meet in the parking lot near the railroad bridge at 9:00 AM.

Please bring a lunch, snacks, water and appropriate clothing for the weather.  It is usually colder at the Canal than it is in Middleborough, so please remember this.  You may want to bring a light pair of gloves.

This ride will count toward the cycling merit badge.

Weekly Update

There will be a Troop meeting this Thursday, April 14th at the Parish Hall.  If you attended Spring Camporee last weekend, please bring $20 to cover the cost.

Spring Camporee This Weekend

Spring Camporee begins tonight!  Dropoff is at 6:30 PM tonight at Camp Norse.  Please eat dinner before arriving as dinner will not be served.  You are welcome to bring snacks but they must be labeled and put in the troop trailer, not kept in tents.

Please bring sleeping bag, pillow, mess kit, WARM CLOTHES, rain gear and extra socks and shoes.

Pick up is Sunday morning between 7:30 - 8:00 AM - NO LATER THAN 8!

Weekly Reminder

There will be a Committee Meeting this Thursday, April 7th at the Parish Hall at 6:00 PM, followed by a Troop Meeting at 7:00 PM.

Weekend Updates/Flag Postponement

 

The flag replacement that was originally scheduled for tomorrow (4/2) has been POSTPONED until next Saturday (4/9) as the weather is supposed to be rainy in the morning.

Also, Pack 20 will be having its Crossover ceremony tomorrow night at 6:45 PM at the Parish Hall.  It is customary to have current scouts from Troop 20 meet the new scouts (Webelos) after the cross over.  If you would like to attend, please be sure to wear your full Class A uniform.
