Committee Meeting / Troop Meeting this Thursday, June 7th, at Sacred Heart Parish Hall - 6:00pm Committee / 7:00pm Troop

Hello Troop 20!

This week, there will be a committee meeting at 6:00pm at Sacred Heart Parish Hall.  The Troop Meeting will be held at 7:00pm immediately following the committee meeting.

Here are this week's announcements:

1) All Scouts are asked to please bring their Scout Handbooks and Binders with them Thursday evening.  The SPL and ASPL's will be reviewing them with you.

2) REMINDER:  All money for troop fleece jackets is due this Thursday.  If you have not yet paid for your jacket, please see Eric Grady Thursday evening.

3) The end of year camping trip this coming weekend is postponed due to some logistical issues that have come up.  We are working to try and re-schedule so please stay tuned.  We hope to have more information available at this week's Troop meeting.

4) If you are working on the Personal Management or Communication merit badge's and have completed work to turn in, please see Mrs. Swindle or Mr. Devine at Thursday's Troop Meeting.

5) End of Year Court of Honor.  Please remember that we need Scouts to sign up for the end of year Court of Honor to be held Saturday, June 23rd.  You need to RSVP Troop20Middleboro@Yahoo.com  by June 13thPlease be sure to include your name and the number of people attending.

6) Summer Camp.  At this week's troop meeting, we will have information for you regarding this years summer camp signup, payments, merit badge offerings, and medical forms.  Summer camp is a great experience and all of our Scouts have a great time.

This year, we will be at Camp Squanto from August 5th to the 11th.  All Scouts should plan to attend this once a year opportunity.

REMINDER:  In order to have a successful summer camp, we need adult leaders to volunteer to spend time with our Scouts at Camp.  Two deep leadership is required at all times so having a few adults available at all times is highly desirable.  If you can help out this year and perhaps spend a night or two at camp, please see Mr. Pierce at any Troop Meeting.

7)  Eagle Scout Project:  Thomas Devine will be starting his Eagle Scout project on Saturday, June 30th.  Thomas will be rehabilitating the message board at the Wareham Street Herring run (47 Wareham Street).  Any Scouts who would like to help out Thomas should be at the Herring run at 9:00am on Saturday the 30th.  Note, this is the Wareham Street herring run, next to the Municipal Light Plant, and not the one on Route 44. Scouts should dress appropriately for the weather, wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty, and bring a pair of work gloves and eye protection.  Additional information will be posted in the coming weeks but please put this on your calendar and plan to come help out Thomas!

That's all for now.  We look forward to seeing ALL Scouts Thursday evening!
